St. Paul Outside the Walls: Sebastian, Michael, Rocco, Peter, Paul & Annunciation
The Altarpieces of Saint Sebastian with the Saints Michael and Rocco, Saint Peter and Paul and the Annunciation, is composed of three panels, with the side panels being painted on the front and back. When the panels of the extreme left and right with Saint Peter and Paul fold over the central panel, they reveal the annunciation painted on the back.
The restoration process included termite prevention, re-position the canvas on the wood, new wood supports, integration of missing elements, touch up on pictorial and gilt surfaces and cleaning.
