2015 Poor Clares
Patron members and friends gathered at the historic Church of the Conversion St. Paul Shrine in downtown Cleveland to support the work of the sisters of The Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration. It was a wonderful summer evening, sharing cocktails and food and fellowship.
The sister’s needs are many and the generosity of our members and friends supported the Poor Clares. Our event raised over $10,000 to help the sisters within the convent. All who attended were offered a viewing of Mother Mary Thomas’ beautiful canvas and many were lucky enough to meet the energetic Mother Thomas and hear firsthand her dedication and desire to complete the painting in time for Pope Francis’s October visit to the United States.
We celebrated Mass with the Most Reverend Roger W. Gries, O.S.B and enjoyed the musical talents of recording artist, Ms. Ashley Nemeh. Ashley introduced her newest song “Holy Mary”.
Mother Thomas and Ms. Ashley Nemeh are hopeful and praying for the opportunity meet His Holiness, Pope Francis, with the anticipation of Ashley being able to sing and Mother having the opportunity to present the beautiful artwork that could possibly be on display within the Vatican Museums.
Mother Mary James and the sisters were most grateful for the generosity of all those that attended.
